News Letter December 2011

Staff Changes / News Emma gave birth to a baby boy on 30th October.  He weighed 8lb 8oz and his name is Ethan James. Sheba is now on maternity leave and her baby is due in January. As Karima does not live in Peterborough she decided to leave Little Stars during November to take up a position nearer to home. We have one new casual member of staff, Amy, who works in various rooms when needed. Amy holds a Level 3 childcare qualification.

Children’s Safety For the safety and security of your children please do not open the door to let other parents in to the nursery. Please wait for a member of staff to open the door. Thank you to all parents who already do this.

Christmas and New Year Please remember the nursery will be closed between Christmas and New Year. We will be closed from Monday 26th December and will re-open on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.

Christmas Parties / Singing The dates for the children’s Christmas parties are: Super Stars 13th December Bright Stars 15th December Shooting Stars 16th December Starburst 21st December The children from Shooting Stars Room will be going to Millfield Court on Wednesday 21st December to sing Carols to the residents.

Photographer The photographer will hopefully be bringing the children’s photo’s that have been ordered to nursery in the next couple of weeks.

Enrolment Forms Thank you to those who have returned the forms you were given. Can those who haven’t please return completed by Friday 16th December.  It is essential we have these in order to have up to date information on your child.

Playgroup Term Dates The autumn term finishes on Friday 16th December. The dates for the spring term 2012 are: 9th January – 10th February 20th February – 30th March Playgroup will be closed for half term: 13th – 17th February

Parent Consultation Dates Bright Stars Wednesday 4th January Shooting Stars Thursday 5th January Super Stars Friday 6th January Please book an appointment with your child’s Key Person.

Holiday Club We will be running our Holiday Club from 19th December – 23rd December.  Please book asap if you would like your child to attend.  Thank you.

School Admission Forms If your child is starting school in September 2012 please remember you need to return the school admission form to the Admissions Team at Bayard Place by 15th January 2012 if you have not done so already.

Free Sports Equipment Please help us to receive free sports equipment for the nursery by logging into the www.havenfunfitness.com site and leaving a supportive message on our school community page.  If we receive messages from 70% or more of our parents then we will qualify for free sports equipment pack.

Spare Clothes We would much appreciate any donations of children’s clothing, which you no longer need, for us to use within the nursery as spare clothes for the children.  Thank you.
