At Little Stars we value our staff very highly and all of our staff have a wide range of experiences and qualifications in childcare. Their primary role is to care for your child. All staff have a CRB check before joining out team. (CRB – Criminal Records Bureau).
Manager: Debbie
Debbie has been NNEB qualified since 1996. Debbie joined us in August 2004 as Deputy Manager and was then promoted to Manager in November 2006. Previous to this Debbie spent eight years at another private day nursery working with babies and toddlers. During this time she was promoted to Senior Nursery Nurse and then to Deputy Manager. Debbie also holds a Level 3 Introductory Certificate in Management, a Leadership and Management Certificate, Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management and a Level 5 in Early Childhood Studies. Debbie is currently working towards a BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies.
Relief Manager: Joanna
Joanna is currently working towards a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies. Joanna gained her Diploma in Nursery Nursing (NNEB) in 1993 and began her nursery career in a sixteen place day nursery before moving to a thirty place nursery which she managed for five and a half years. Joanna has been involved with Little Stars right from the initial planning stages and managed the nursery until November 2006. Joanna decided to reduce her hours and has now taken on the role as Relief Manager.
Deputy Manager: Kirsty
Kirsty started at Bright Stars Nursery in September 2008 and was Team Leader in their toddler room before moving to Little Stars in January 2012 as Deputy Manager. Kirsty has a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years and a Level 2 Team Leader qualification. She also has varied experiences working with children in different situations.
Room Leader: Sarah
Sarah joined Little Stars in January 2004 as a student and once she had completed the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education in September 2004 Sarah became a full time member of staff. Sarah is based in the Shining stars room.
Room Leader: Caroline
Caroline joined Little Stars in July 2008 and worked full time in the Super Stars Room. Caroline then became acting Room Leader before moving to Bright Stars Room as permanent Room Leader in September 2010. Caroline holds a NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development
Room Leader: Alison
Alison joined Little Stars in August 2008 and works in the Shooting Stars Room. Alison holds a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing and a BTEC First Diploma in Caring. Alison has many years experience working in day nurseries and as a Childrens Nanny.
Nursery Practitioner: Caroline
While studying for her childcare qualification Caroline attended college one day a week and worked four days in Shining Stars Room. Caroline now works full time in the Shining Stars Room. Caroline holds a NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Children’s Care, Learning & Development.

Nursery Assistant: Carrie
Carrie joined us in January 2007 working full time in the Starburst room. Carrie now works in various rooms where needed. Carrie has a Level 2 qualification in Childcare and is currently working towards her level 3
Nursery Assistant: Roswana
Roswana has worked in various rooms since joining Little Stars in April 2007 and has gained experience working with different age groups. Roswana holds a Level 2 BTEC Certificate in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. Roswana now works part time in the Super Stars Room.
Nursery Assistant: Sheba
Sheba joined us as a part time member of staff in October 2004 and has gained experience working with the various age groups. Sheba has an NVQ Level 2 qualification.

Nursery Practitioner: Charlotte T
Charlotte joined Little Stars in June 2009 and worked in various rooms as needed. Charlotte holds a Level 3 certificate in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. Charlotte now works in Bright Stars Room.
Nursery Practitioner: Kayleigh N
Kayleigh joined Little Stars in January 2011 and works full time in the Starburst Room. Kayleigh has a CACHE Level 3 childcare qualification and has previous experience working with young children.
Nursery Assistant: Atiyyah
Atiyyah joined Little Stars in March 2008 and worked part time in Bright Stars Room. Atiyyah has previous experience working in nurseries since November 2005. Atiyyah holds a Level 3 BTEC Certificate in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. Atiyyah now works mainly in the Super Stars Room.
Administration Assistant: Chris
Chris has worked at Little Stars since we opened in September 2003. Chris spent three and a half years working in the Starburst room before becoming the admin assistant in July 2007. Chris will occasionally be working in the rooms as a relief member of staff.
Nursery Assistant: Gulnaz
Gulnaz joined Little Stars in March 2010 and works part time in various rooms where needed. Gulnaz holds a Level 2 Childcare qualification and is currently working towards her Level 3.
Nursery Assistant: Melnaz
Mehnaz joined Little Stars in March 2010 and works part time in various rooms where needed. Mehnaz holds a Level 2 Childcare qualification and is currently working towards her Level 3.
Room Leader: Emma
Emma joined Little Stars in September 2008 and works full time as Room Leader in the Starburst Room. Emma holds a NVQ Level 4 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development.

Nursery Practitioner: Hussina
Hussina Joined Little Stars in June 2008 on a part time basis working in various rooms as needed. Hussina has a BA Honours Degree in Sociology with Psychology and a Cache Level 3 NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. Hussina now works in Bright Stars Room.
Nursery Practitioner: Debs
Debs joined Little Stars in October 2008 and works full time in the various room where needed. Debs holds a NVQ Level 3 in Childcare Early Years and Education. Debs has previous experience working in a private day nursery.
Nursery Practitioner: Sharon
Sharon joined Little Stars in May 2004 and worked full time in the Shining Stars Room, Sharon has a City and Guilds Early Years Care and Education Level 3 Qualification and has previous experience working in nurseries. Sharon then reduced her hours and worked part time in various rooms where needed. .Sharon has now returned to full time in Shining Stars Room.
Room Leader Kayleigh L:
Kayleigh joined Little Stars in July 2009 and worked full time in the Shooting Stars Room. Kayleigh holds a BTEC National Diploma Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development and is currently studying for her Foundation Degree. Kayleigh was promoted to Room Leader in August 2010 and moved to Starburst Room in October 2011.
Nursery Practitioner: Kerry
Kerry Joined Little Stars in November 2009 and worked in various rooms where needed. Kerry holds a Cache Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education and has previous experience working with young children as a Nanny. Kerry works part time in Super Stars Room.
Nursery Practitioner: Philippa
Philippa holds a Cache Level 3 in Childcare and Education and has previous experience working in a day nursery. Philippa joined us as a member of staff in January 2010 and works full time in the Starburst Room. ** Currently on maternity leave.
Nursery Practitioner: Kathy
Kathy Joined Little Stars in April 2007 and worked part time in various rooms before being based in Bright Stars Room. Kathy holds an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare & Education and a BA Honours Degree in Early Years Childcare and Education. Kathy now works full time in Super Stars Room.
Nursery Practitioner: Holli
Holli joined Little Stars in September 2010 and worked part time in various rooms within the nursery. Holli holds a Cache Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. Holli now works full time in Shooting Stars Room.
Nursery Practitioner: Charlotte B
Charlotte joined Little Stars in September 2010 and worked full time in the Bright Stars Room and After School Club. Charlotte now works full time in Shining Stars Room. Charlotte holds a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development.
Nursery Practitioner: Kelly
Kelly joined Little Stars in September 2011 and worked part time in various rooms where needed before becoming a full time member of staff in the Shooting Stars Room. Kelly holds a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education and has previous experience working in a nursery environment and also as a Nanny.
Nursery Practitioner: Laura
Laura has previous experience working as a Nanny and in a nursery environment before joining Little Stars in October2011. Laura holds a Level 4 childcare qualification and works part time in various rooms where needed.
Nursery Assistant: Clare
Clare holds a CACHE Level 2 in Playwork and joined Bright Stars staff in October 2008 where she worked in the toddler room. Clare moved to Little Stars in January 2012 and now works in various rooms where needed.
Cook: Carol
Carol joined us in May 2005 and prepares and cooks, nutritious meals for the children. Carol has a vast amount of experience from running her own catering business.
Cooks Assistant: Gulzarin
Gulzarin joined Little Stars in June 2009 and works part time as our cook’s assistant.
