At Little Stars we value our staff very highly and all of our staff have a wide range of experiences and qualifications in childcare. Their primary role is to care for your child. All staff have a CRB check before joining out team. (CRB – Criminal Records Bureau).

Manager: Debbie
Debbie has been NNEB qualified since 1996. Debbie joined us in August 2004 as Deputy Manager and then promoted to Manager in November 2006. Previously to this Debbie spent eight years at another private day nursery working with babies and toddlers. During this time she was promoted to Senior Nursery Nurse and then to Deputy Manager. Debbie also holds a Level 3 Introductory Certificate in Management, a Leadership and Management Certificate and is currently working towards a Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management and a BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies.

Relief Manager: Joanna
Joanna gained her Diploma in Nursery Nursing (NNEB) in 1993 and began her nursery career in a sixteen place day nursery before moving to a thirty place nursery which she managed for five and a half years. Joanna has been involved with Little Stars right from the initial planning stages and managed the nursery until November 2006. Joanna decided to reduce her hours and has now taken on the role as Relief Manager.

Senior Nursery Nurse: Katie
Katie holds a NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Childcare and Education and has experience working in nurseries since 2002. Katie joined us in May 2006 and works full time in the Starburst room. Katie is working towards a BA Honours in Early Childhood Studies.
*Katie will be going on maternity leave in October 2008.

Room Leader: Sarah
Sarah joined Little Stars in January 2004 as a student and once completed the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education in September 2004 Sarah became a full time member of staff. Sarah is based in the Shining stars room.

Nursery Practitioner: Jess
Jess holds a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Early Years & Education. Jess joined Little Stars in July 2007 and works full time in the Shining Stars Room.

Nursery Practitioner: Sophie
Sophie holds a Level 3 Diploma in Child Care & Education. Sophie joined Little Stars in July 2007 and works full time in the Starburst room.

Nursery Assistant: Carrie
Carrie joined us in January 2007 and works full time in the Starburst room. Carrie has a Level 2 qualification in Childcare.

Nursery Practitioner: Kelly
Kelly holds a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Early Years & Education. Kelly joined Little Stars in August 2007 and works full time in the Bright Stars Room and After Schools Club.

Nursery Practitioner: Heidi
Heidi holds a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years & Education. Heidi joined Little Stars in October 2007 and works full time in the Super Stars Room.

Nursery Assistant: Caroline
Caroline works full time in the Shining Stars Room attending college on a Monday afternoon, where she is working towards an NVQ Level 2 in Children’s Care & Development.

Nursery Practitioner: Parvez
Parvez has a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Pre – School Practice and has worked at Little Stars since September 2003. Parvez currently works in the Super Stars Pre – School Room and is working towards a BSC Honours in Psychology.

Nursery Assistant: Zoe
Zoe holds an NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Childcare & Education qualification and has two years experience in childcare. Zoe joined Little Stars in November 2007 and works part time in the Shooting Stars room during term time. Zoe is currently working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Childcare & Education.
*Zoe will be going on maternity leave in October 2008.

Nursery Assistant: Rukhsana
Rukhsana has worked in various rooms at Little Stars since September 2003. Rukhsana has gained experience with the different age groups during this time and has a Getting Started in Pre – School Setting and a Playwork certificate. Rukhsana is currently working towards a Level 3 in Pre – School Practice Certificate.

Nursery Assistant: Roswana
Roswana has worked in various rooms since joining Little Stars in April 2007 and has gained experience working with different age groups. Roswana is currently working towards a Level 2 in Pre – School Practice.

Nursery Assistant: Sheba
Sheba joined us as a part time member of staff in October 2004 and has gained experience working with the various age groups. Sheba has an NVQ Level 2 qualification.

Nursery Assistant: Margaret
Margaret has been working at Little Stars since November 2006 providing lunch cover and has many years experience prior to this running a playgroup.

Nursery Practitioner: Karina
Karina holds a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare & Education and has 3 years experience working in a nursery. Karina joined Little Stars in April 2008. Karina works full time in the Superstars Room and is currently working towards a Foundation Degree in Early Years.

Nursery Assistant: Attiyya
Attiya joined Little Stars in March 2008 & works part-time in Bright Stars Room. Attiya has experience working in nurseries since November 2005. Attiya is currently working towards a CACHE Foundation in Child Care.

Administration Assistant: Chris
Chris has worked at Little Stars since we opened in September 2003. Chris spent three and a half years working in the Starburst room before becoming the admin assistant in July 2007. Chris will occasionally be working in the rooms as a relief member of staff.

Cook: Carol
Carol joined us in May 2005 and prepares and cooks, nutritious meals for the children. Carol has a vast amount of experience from running her own catering business.

Safiah
Safiah has been working at Little Stars since February 2004 taking 18 months out for maternity leave from July 2005.  Safiah has experience working with all age groups at nursery.  Safiah is currently on maternity leave.

Helen
Helen has been working at Little Stars since November 2004 on a part time basis in the various rooms. Helen is a child minder and has a Pre-School Practice Certificate. Helen is currently working towards a Level 3 qualification in childcare.

Claire
Claire joined Little Stars in July 2008 and works full time in the Shooting Stars Room.  Claire holds a BTEC Diploma in Early Years.

Caroline
Caroline joined Little Stars in July 2008 and works full time in the Super Stars Room.  Caroline is currently working towards a NVQ Level 3 in Childrens Care, Learning and Development.

Emma
Emma joined Little Stars in September 2008 and works full time in the Starburst Room.  Emma will be acting Room Leader while Katie is on maternity leave.  Emma holds a NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education and is currently working towards a Level 4 in Childrens Care, Learning and development.

Hussina
Hussina joined Little Stars in June 2008 on a part time basis and works in various rooms as needed.  Hussina has a BA Honours Degree in Sociology with Psychology.

Monique
Monique joined Little Stars in July 2008 on a part time basis and works in various rooms as needed.  Monique holds a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare Education.
